What a drag it is in the Senate
Things are different now-a-days
you'll hear every pundit say
Why back when we used to have
comraderie
Then post Gingrich it got thick
with that holy righteous schtick
Now it's long & boring stalling
summer, winter, spring & falling
Why can't we just move today
One hun-dred percent our way
Tired of not throwing my shoes
at those cranks Paul, Lee & Cruz
all the rest have got their heads shoved up their acts
Never mind what people vote
they're confused or else they're bought
We must feed the job creators
or be eaten by our neighbors
You say “superPAC” today
“Corrupt sluice” is more germaine
Ah, Mitch, please.
Some conferees?
Don't put a hold
on th'Senate's
soul
What a drag it is
in the Senate
After you have made your pile,
Then why then put up with the bile?
Stock your options in the Caymans after
all
New reformers in your place
for their kleines geld will race
They'll go running for the Kochs then
Waltons & what Rove can coax
when...
& they'll set you up real fine
so that you won't do no time
Mister, please, my dog has fleas
Back in ought four, folks loved me more
What a drag it is in the Senate
Oh, democracy is broke
every other FOX-er's spoke
If a Rubio or Rand can lead us out
of the wilderness we're in
mired in communistic sin
It's but little price to pay
to let the Senate make us wait
I hear everybody say
USA & USA
